This policy describes what Unshakeable Confidence does and does not collect when you read a page on this website. It is short because the site does very little.
The short version
Unshakeable Confidence is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment forms, no newsletter signup, and no shopping cart. We do not ask you for personal information, and there is nowhere on this site for you to submit any.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, which pages get read and how visitors find the site. GA4 sets cookies in your browser to distinguish one visit from another, and it collects information such as the pages you view, the site or search engine that referred you, your approximate location at the city or country level, and your device and browser type. Google processes this data on our behalf. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
We use this data only to see which articles are useful and where readers come from. We do not use advertising pixels, remarketing, session recording, or any other third-party trackers, and we do not sell or share this data for advertising. If you want to opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google publishes a browser add-on for that at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; blocking cookies for this site has the same effect here.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we do not load Google Analytics for you at all: no analytics tag runs and no analytics cookies are set. That is why this site shows no cookie consent banner.
If our analytics setup changes, this page will be updated with it, and the update date at the top of this page will change accordingly.
Server logs
This website is served by a third-party hosting provider. Like effectively every web host, that provider records standard server logs for each request: typically the requesting IP address, the time of the request, the page or file requested, the referring page, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure, are used for delivering the site and for security and abuse prevention, and are retained according to the provider's own retention schedule. We do not combine them with any other information, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
Links to other websites
Some articles link to other websites, such as publishers of research or reference material. This policy does not apply to those sites. Once you follow a link away from Unshakeable Confidence, you are subject to the privacy policy of whoever operates that site, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Children
This site is written for an adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including anyone under 18. The analytics data described above is aggregated and is not used to identify any individual visitor.
Your rights
Data protection laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights over personal information a business holds about you: the right to access it, correct it, delete it, and object to its processing. Unshakeable Confidence holds no accounts, submissions, or records that identify you by name or contact detail. The analytics data we receive from Google is aggregated, and we cannot connect it back to you as an individual. If you believe we hold personal information about you, contact us and we will investigate and respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new update date. Because the site collects so little today, any future change that begins collecting more will be described here plainly rather than buried.
